It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade people from observing continuous fasting with only one pre-dawn meal (suhoor) in the month of Ramadan. So they said, "Do you not do this yourself?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "I am given food and drink by Allah."
