Hadith 591

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ : " مَلَأَ اللَّهُ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا كَمَا شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى آبَتْ الشَّمْسُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Khandaq, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah fill the homes and graves of these polytheists with fire, for they did not allow us to perform the Asr prayer until the sun had set."
