It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever dies in a state other than obedience to Allah will die in such a way that on the Day of Resurrection, none of his arguments will be accepted. And whoever dies in such a state that he has withdrawn his hand from allegiance, his death will be a death of misguidance.
