(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، وَكَانَ وَهْبٌ أَدْرَكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ , لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِ ابْنِ مَالِكٍ , أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَاعِيَ غَنَمٍ فِي مَكَانٍ قَبِيحٍ ، وَقَدْ رَأَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَكَانًا أَمْثَلَ مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : وَيْحَكَ يَا راعي , حَوِّلْها , فَإِنِّي ، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " كُلُّ رَاعٍ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ " .
Once, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a shepherd grazing his goats in a filthy place while a better place was available, and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had also seen it, so he said: O shepherd! Woe to you, take these goats somewhere else. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that every shepherd will be questioned about his flock.
