(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الِلَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ شَرِبَ ، فَلَا يَأْكُلْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَلَا يَشْرَبْ بِشِمَالِهِ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any one of you eats food, he should not eat or drink with his left hand, for Satan eats and drinks with his left hand."
