(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي : " أُتِيَ بِفَضِيخٍ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْفَضِيخِ ، فَشَرِبَهُ ، فَلِذَلِكَ سُمِّيَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that in the Mosque of Fadikh, "Fadikh"—that is, the unripe date drink—was presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he drank it. Because of this, the mosque was named the Mosque of Fadikh.
