Hadith 5835

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الله بِنْ نَافِع ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ الصَّلَاةَ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ الشَّيْطَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not intend to pray at the time of sunrise or sunset, because the sun rises between the two horns of Satan."
