It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead the Witr prayer in the early, middle, and last parts of the night, however, in the end, he (peace and blessings be upon him) became consistent in performing it in the last part of the night.
