Hadith 5753

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ غَزَاهَا بِامْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ ، " فَنَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a slain woman in one of the battles, so he forbade the killing of women and children.
