Hadith 5737

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَافَ الطَّوَافَ الْأَوَّلَ ، خَبَّ ثَلَاثًا وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا ، وَكَانَ يَسْعَى بِبَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ إِذَا طَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا , وَالْمَرْوَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to walk briskly (raml) in the first three circuits of Tawaf and walk at a normal pace in the remaining four circuits, and while performing Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, he would run in the “Batn al-Masil.”
