Hadith 5726

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا مَرَّةً " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on the day of Jumu'ah and would also sit for a while between the two.
