(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ , أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ , أَتَى ابْنَ مُطِيعٍ لَيَالِي الْحَرَّةِ ، فَقَالَ : ضَعُوا لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وِسَادَةً ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي لَمْ آتِ لِأَجْلِسَ ، إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُخْبِرَكَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُهُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ ، لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حُجَّةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقًا لِلْجَمَاعَةِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مَوْتَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ " .
Zaid bin Aslam narrates from his father that once I went with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) to Abdullah bin Muti’, he welcomed Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) and ordered the people to present a cushion to him. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "I have not come to sit, rather I have come to narrate to you a hadith which I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience to the rightful ruler, he will have no argument on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever dies having separated from the community, he dies the death of ignorance."
