Hadith 5693

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَسَاهُ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ ، وَكَسَا أُسَامَةَ قُبْطِيَّتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا مَسَّ الْأَرْضَ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a silk garment and gave Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) a linen garment, and said: "The part of it that touches the ground will be in Hell."
