Hadith 5581

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ عَلِمَ النَّاسُ مَا فِي الْوَحْدَةِ مَا أَعْلَمُ ، مَا سَرَى رَاكِبٌ بِلَيْلٍ وَحْدَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If people knew the harm of traveling alone, then no one would travel alone at night."
