Hadith 5560

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَا أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى أَعْوَادِ الْمِنْبَرِ : " لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ وَدْعِهِمْ الْجُمُعَاتِ ، أَوْ لَيَخْتِمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ ، وَلَيُكْتَبُنَّ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (while he was sitting on the pulpit) "People must stop neglecting Jumu'ah, otherwise Allah, the Exalted, will seal their hearts and will write them among the heedless."
