Hadith 5516

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَمُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ " ، وَكَانَ فِي بَعْضِ حَدِيثِهِمَا : إِلَى رُبُعِ اللَّيْلِ ، أَخَّرَهُمَا جَمِيعًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a hurry during a journey, he would perform a 'perceived' combining (jam' suri) between Maghrib and Isha prayers.
