Hadith 5511

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُوصِي فِيهِ ، يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ عِنْدَهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a Muslim has any right due upon him from someone, then two nights should not pass in such a way that his will is not written and kept with him."
