Hadith 5506

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ بِجَمْعٍ ، فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ ، " فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا وَسَلَّمَ ، وَصَلَّى الْعَتَمَةَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " ، وَحَدَّثَ سَعِيدٌ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ صَلَّاهَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَا ، وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ .
Salamah bin Kuhail (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once, Sa'id bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in Maghrib prayer at Muzdalifah with three rak'ahs as is done with iqamah, then after concluding with salam, he led us in two rak'ahs of 'Isha due to the state of travel, and then said that Abdullah bin 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had done the same at this place and had said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had also done the same at this place.
