Hadith 5499

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of fruits or dates until they are fully ripe. Someone asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the meaning of "ripening," so he replied that it means their afflictions have gone away.
