Hadith 5498

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ بِلَالًا يُنَادِي بِلَيْلٍ ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُنَادِيَ بِلَالٌ ، أَوْ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bilal gives the call to prayer during the night, so keep eating and drinking until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer."
