Hadith 5405

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : ذُكِرَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " مَنْ بَايَعْتَ ، فَقُلْ : لَا خِلَابَةَ " ، فَكَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا بَايَعَ : لَا خِلَابَةَ ، وَكَانَ فِي لِسَانِهِ رُتَّةٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there was a man from the Quraysh whom people used to deceive in trade. This was mentioned before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever you buy or sell with someone, say to him: 'There is no deception in this transaction.'" Since he had a stammer in his speech, instead of saying «لاخلابه», he would say «لاخيابه».
