Hadith 5397

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ " الْمَغَانِمَ تُجَزَّأُ خَمْسَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ ، ثُمَّ يُسْهَمُ عَلَيْهَا ، فَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهُوَ لَهُ ، يَتَخَيَّرُ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the spoils of war being divided into five portions, and I also saw a share being allocated from it. The portion that belonged to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was at his discretion.
