It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went towards the camel pens, and I also went with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I was on the right side of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). After a short while, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) appeared coming from the front. I moved from my place, and he came to the right side of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I was on the left side. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also came. I again moved from my place, and he came to the left side of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the camel pens, there were some waterskins there in which there was wine. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me for a knife. That day I came to know of something called a knife. In any case, at the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), those waterskins were cut open. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Curse is upon wine, its drinker and the one who serves it, its seller and buyer, its carrier and the one for whom it is carried, its presser and the one for whom it is pressed, and upon the one who consumes its price.”
