Hadith 5388

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ : يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة المطففين آية 6 قَالَ : " يَقُومُونَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الرَّشْحُ آذَانَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explained this verse «يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» "When people will stand before the Lord of the worlds" by saying that at that time people will be standing, submerged in their sweat up to half of their ears.
