It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "Hand me the mat from the mosque." She replied, "I am not in a state of ablution." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your menstruation is not in your hand."
