Hadith 5380

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِهِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَخْبَرَنِي جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّكَ قَدْ فَعَلْتَ ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفَرَ لَكَ " .
The previous hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), however, there is this addition in it that Jibreel (peace be upon him) informed me that you did commit that act, but due to the blessing of saying «لا اله الا الله», you have been forgiven.
