Hadith 5377

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُهْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى الَّذِي يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ خُيَلَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection."
