(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَابَيْ الْمَكِّيُّ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ تَحِيَّةَ الصَّلَاةِ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا ؟ " فَتَلَا عَلَيَّ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ ، يَعْنِي : قَوْلَ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ .
Abdullah bin Babi Al-Makki (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I prayed next to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). After finishing the prayer, he struck his hand on my thigh and said: "Shall I not teach you the greeting of prayer (tahiyyat al-salat) as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to teach us?" Saying this, he recited before me the words of tashahhud which are narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him).
