(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ اسْتَغْفَرَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ، وَارْحَمْنِي ، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ " ، أَوْ " إِنَّكَ تَوَّابٌ غَفُورٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once I was sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking forgiveness one hundred times. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ أَوْ إِنَّكَ تَوَّابٌ غَفُورٌ» "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, turn towards me. Indeed, You are the Most Accepting of Repentance, Most Merciful, or Most Forgiving."
