Hadith 5346

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ . . " فَقَالَ فِيهِ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears by other than Allah... the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke harshly regarding this.
