Hadith 5345

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ أَنْ تُؤَدَّى قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ النَّاسِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that the Sadaqat al-Fitr should be given before going out to the Eid prayer ground.
