(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوف ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : حَيْوَةُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ ، تَصَدَّقْنَ وَأَكْثِرْنَ ، فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُكُنَّ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، لِكَثْرَةِ اللَّعْنِ وَكُفْرِ الْعَشِيرِ ، مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ نَاقِصَاتِ عَقْلٍ وَدِينٍ أَغْلَبَ لِذِي لُبٍّ مِنْكُنَّ " ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا نُقْصَانُ الْعَقْلِ وَالدِّينِ ؟ قَالَ : " أَمَّا نُقْصَانُ الْعَقْلِ وَالدِّينِ ، فَشَهَادَةُ امْرَأَتَيْنِ تَعْدِلُ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلٍ ، فَهَذَا نُقْصَانُ الْعَقْلِ ، وَتَمْكُثُ اللَّيَالِيَ لَا تُصَلِّي ، وَتُفْطِرُ فِي رَمَضَانَ ، فَهَذَا نُقْصَانُ الدِّينِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O group of women! Give charity in abundance, for I have seen that you form the majority of the inhabitants of Hell. This is because of your frequent cursing and your disobedience to your husbands. I have not seen any deficient in religion and intellect more overwhelming to a wise man than you. A woman asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by deficiency in religion and intellect? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The fact that the testimony of two women is equal to that of one man is a sign of deficiency in intellect, and the inability to pray and fast for several days (during menstruation) is a sign of deficiency in religion.'"
