Hadith 5275

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ النَّذْرِ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ لَا يَرُدُّ مِنَ الْقَدَرِ شَيْئًا ، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making vows and said: "Vows do not change anything of destiny; rather, through it, wealth is taken out from a miserly person."
