(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ
سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ
فِرَاسٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي
أَبُو صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ
زَاذَانَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَدَعَا غُلَامًا لَهُ فَأَعْتَقَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَا لِي فِيهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ مَا يَسْوَى هَذَا ، أَوْ يَزِنُ هَذَا ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ ضَرَبَ عَبْدًا لَهُ حَدًّا لَمْ يَأْتِهِ ، أَوْ ظَلَمَهُ ، أَوْ لَطَمَهُ شَكَّ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَإِنَّ كَفَّارَتَهُ أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ " .
Zadhan says that on one occasion, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) called one of his slaves and set him free, and picking up a straw or something similar from the ground, he said: "I will not receive any reward for freeing him, not even equal to this straw. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever slaps his slave, its expiation is that he should set him free."
