Hadith 5257

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " إِنْ أَسْعَى فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْعَى ، وَإِنْ أَمْشِي ، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي ، وَأَنَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that if I walk at a normal pace, I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walking in this manner, and if I walk quickly, I have seen the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) walking in this manner as well, and I have become extremely old.
