Hadith 5255

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، وَالْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الضَّبِّ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the lizard, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I neither eat it nor do I declare it unlawful."
