Hadith 5251

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، وَنَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ " يَلْبَسُ السِّبْتِيَّةَ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا ، وَذَكَرَ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to wear shoes made of dyed leather and would perform ablution in them, and he used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also used to do the same.
