(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ
سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ
زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، سَمِعَهُ مِنِ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَقْبَلَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، فَتَكَلَّمَا ، أَوْ تَكَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ سِحْرًا " ، أَوْ " إِنَّ الْبَيَانَ سِحْرٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that two men from the east came to the presence of the Messenger, and when they spoke (people were amazed at the fluency and eloquence of their speech), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some speech has the effect of magic."
