Hadith 5197

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُوصِي فِيهِ ، يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ عِنْدَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person has any right due upon him, then two nights should not pass in such a way that his will is not written and kept with him."
