Hadith 5158

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُلُّ بَيِّعَيْنِ فَأَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ بِالْخِيَارِ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا ، أَوْ يَكُونَ خِيَارًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The seller and the buyer have the option (to cancel the transaction) as long as they do not separate, or until they make a sale with the option (of choice)."
