Hadith 5142

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ وَثَّابٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any person comes for Jumu'ah, he should come after performing ghusl (ritual bath)."
