(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ سَلْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَتْ " صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّتِي لَا يَدَعُ : رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the prayers which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never used to abandon were: two rak‘ahs before the Zuhr prayer and two rak‘ahs after it, two rak‘ahs after Maghrib, two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha, and two rak‘ahs before the Fajr prayer.
