Hadith 5100

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمْ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ ، إِنَّهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ عَلَى الْإِبِلِ ، إِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعِشَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Let not the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your prayer. Remember! Its name is 'Isha prayer. At that time, they milk their camels (and for this reason, they call the Isha prayer 'Atamah)."
