Hadith 5016

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْوَتْرُ آخِرُ رَكْعَةٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Witr is the last rak'ah of the night prayers."
