Hadith 5008

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي السُّبَيْعِيَّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ ، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying from the pulpit: When any person comes for Jumu'ah, he should come after performing ghusl (ritual bath).
