Hadith 5004

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الضَّبِّ ؟ فَقَالَ : " لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أَنْهَى عَنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a person asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the lizard. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not eat it, nor do I forbid it."
