Hadith 4994

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تُصَلُّوا صَلَاةً فِي يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Do not perform the same prayer twice in one day.
