(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الطَّائِفِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمِقْدَامِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، مَا لَكَ لَا تَرْمُلُ ؟ فَقَالَ : قَدْ " رَمَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَرَكَ " .
Abdullah bin Muqdam (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) walking at a normal pace between Safa and Marwah during Sa'i, so I asked him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! Why are you not walking quickly?" He replied, "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) both increased his pace here and did not increase it."
