Hadith 4985

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ عَذَابًا أَصَابَ الْعَذَابُ مَنْ كَانَ فِيهِمْ ، ثُمَّ بُعِثُوا عَلَى أَعْمَالِهِمْ " ، وَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends to send punishment upon a people, then the punishment descends upon all the inhabitants there; then they will be resurrected according to their deeds (in the punishment, all—righteous and wicked—will be included, but reward and punishment will be according to deeds)."
