Hadith 4981

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ يُخْبِرُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "The month is of twenty-nine days."
